You should never loose your points.
Maybe you have made a new game installation or your SteamID changed because of a new nosteam game install.

Oh.. that was what happened to me a nosteam installation with another name.. *Sigh* i lost a lot of things, but it no matters now since i level up again and im almost rank hero
