alServ Event !

A special zombie night with for example :
- Double ammount of tanks
- Witch invasion on maps
- Only frying pan available as weapon

We could :
Find an easy modification to apply to a installed mod.
Install a mod just for a night.
Or simply use the console to spawn tank every ten minutes for example.

And just spam the chat with an advertisment about the next event to come and talk about it on the forum and the steam group.

Nice idea.
We should think about it.

Something like 20h gmt until midnight...
On server 18 & 19

We can have a look locally first.
And on the server we need to take care that is doesn't interfere with the dynamic difficulty plugins etc

The safest way to organize the event without taking any risk on the existing servers would be :

- to create two copies of the 19
- Shut down the 18 & 19
- Rename the new servers 18 & 19 just for the night

And once a month we could use these 2 copies for events.

And a last thing another plugin that could fit perfectly with the tank rush :

And maybe we could open a mumble room for the event !

As you know next year my daughter is going to start learning german at school, i'll learn with her and i hope will be able soon to tweak the server by myself... For the moment i need you for my crazy ideas

PS. About that once a week you'll become mumble german teacher to correct her exercises... Muah ah ah... (I'm not kidding !!!!)

We have to take care about SourceBans and hlstatsx when copying servers.
So it is not so easy. A complete new server based on a copy with all database backends disabled could be better.
So it has to be planned to not break any backend system.

Yes sure, i wasn't aware of this issue with hlstatsx...
With some hardspamming advertisments we could inform players to connect on a "new" server" for the event at the right date...

It would be wiser to use a new one for sure.
