Problem with the servers

Currently I cannot restart the servers.
Maybe the time has come to install a whole new linux on the server.
But I still hope to get it solved somehow.

It´s a software failure or something similar ?

Some linux update changed the libs needed for the game servers.
I had to apply the same fix again, that I have used in July:

So everything should be fine again^^

keyword - LINUX! any unix system is (my keyword)! windows 8.1 the best!
this is my 20 cents to the discussion...

Windows is for desktop and for gaming only.

The linux server now has an uptime of 320 days.
The server only got started once when I rented the hardware in January 2013.
With all linux updates and everything else no reboot was needed.
Even the game servers keep running when I make some updates.

And on Windows I have to reboot with nearly each Windows update.

And best of all.
Linux is free.

With "Windows WebServer 2008 R2 SP1" or "Windows WebServer 2008 SP2" it would cost 10 Euro more per month. (WebServer Only!)
With "Windows Server 2012 Standard" or "Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard" it would cost 20 Euro more per month.

So Windows on a server is really no option.

WIndows is good for games but not for a server. The company i work for has too a Windows server, i got it easy, to step in, to much security holes, no matter if it is a client or server version.

Example: Maybe you know the 23 year old security hole, from win 95 up to win 8, thats still in windows? So win update on or off, no matter i think. And many more things like that. Better make important things on a OS, thats stable and secure. And why pay for something, that has shit support and is unsecure?

Well, you suggest running a pirate copy of Windows Server on a rented server in a data center?

And the Windows Server will be more stable, reliable and secure when you not pay for it?
