Versus Server Configuration

I have installed a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] plugin and configured 6 vs 6 players (or 8 vs 8, or...) .

I hope it works.

The plugins has the following commands (see also the link above):

The plugin also adjusts several settings like SI health and mob size etc.

Good news, but a light don't work properly. The light blinks sometimes. Maybe my ping's fault, i don't know.

Light on which server?
On the plugin page they said something about ping (light will be slower) but not that it is blinking.

On alserv2022. It blinks sometimes when i move or like you said it is so slow that it seems to me that it blink

Good plugin for the server Versus, but it will more funny if is 8 vs 8.  

Test it with 5v5 now.
I've activated some difficulty adjustment in the plugin right now too.
If I would set 8v8 the charger would have 1200 HP
Some we need to test a little for the balance.

And why the charger? If you increase the hp of charger I think that too you need to increase the hp of the other SI. I think that it will be better that the infected can call hordes or spawn SI through a system points.

Charger was just an example.
The others get more HP too.
And I think they spawn faster etc.

Simply test it.

It is currenty the plugin version, that I posted above plus SI health adjustment (which was commented out in the source code)

Maybe points system will come later.

First I needed a plugin which can enable more than 4 vs 4.
And this SuperVersus also has difficulty adjustment inside.
So I want to check that first.

But when no one is playing there, it's hard to check the settings.

Yes, you can change the respawn of SI.

I said you about the problem with if you increase the HP of SI because when you are 1 vs 1 with a smoker for example, I couldn't kill him with 1 shoot of AWP and he caught me. For it, I think that the infected has got a really advantage.

Too is a pity that there aren't a lot of players that play in 2022.

For it, I propose you about system points, for see if encourage at the players to come in 2022.

I've installed the same points system with the same config as on 18/19.
And the SI have their standard health.

So you can test it now.
For testing admins can use e.g.
/givepoints playername 100
to get points for testing.
Please test if all items in the SI buy menu are working.

I see an interesting things that can buy the infected in other servers that will be good that you apply in the 2022.

When you can, connect to steam for talk about it.

All items work correctly, but we need to do some changes.

1- Buy the tank is cheap, is better increase it to 50.

2- Some players said me that it will be good that when you are spawning how SI, that you can fly.

3- The prices of the items of survivors need to be more cheap or that the survivors earn more points.

Buy menu is good but too expensive for survivors. Tank is cheap and spitter too.
When i buy infected it spawn me or other player who dead immediately but i don't want it, if i buy infected, at first i have to be ghost like on other versus servers and if i buy infected i must play as my infected.
Server change the team where i play. I mean if i play in team A and change to team B, on the next round server replace me to team A, again and again.  
I don't know bag is it or not, when map change server disconnect me, it disconnect me two times.

Need to make a list of all issues.
Seems that both plugins are not working as expected.
- disconnects you sometimes (this is bad)
- buy SI in ghost mode (plugin cannot do that)
-....
Maybe you could ask on other servers which plugins they are using.
I didn't find any other useful plugins for versus till now.

Every idea is welcome.
First we have to get the basics going.
Then we can add other plugins.
And it would be great to have a link to the plugin for download.

I'll test them one by one.

Yesterday I had to set it to 8 vs 8 because of some LEFT4FIX extension (only for 8v8 or 10v10)
This should fix some survivors point calculation.
But the server crashed a few times.
So I had to remove it.

With 8 vs 8 the SuperVersus internal difficulty setting was too much.
Too many CI and SI in my opinion.
Without the difficulty adjustments it was too easy.

For 6 vs 6 the difficulty seemed to be better.
So maybe 8vs8 with the difficulty adjustment from 6vs6 could be good.
I'll have to change the plugin for that.

Anyway I would like to see how 8 vs 8 performs regarding server CPU and network etc.
Maybe the load would be too high.
Dont know.
We will see.

I also installed GhostFly plugin (is more like ghost jetpack^^)
Very usable outside, but inside a house not so much I think.

I also got a tip for "Zombie Select" plugin.
To be able to select a SI.
I'll try that soon.

I'll also add some of the little plugins from coop like "Bile The World" and "Smoker Cloud Damage"
They may help to balance the overpowered survivors.

I like the last to plugin you mention but Controlling the witch is kind of tacky and pointless as the survivor can easily dispatch her. Unless we can increase her speed and health then I say the witch will be little to no threat to the survivor as it means one less player controlling an SI because they're too busy moving the god forbidden slow walking witch. =-=

Unless the survivors are super newbie and the infected team super good then I say this won't contribute to gameplay. Of course if the server can take in more players say 8vs8 or so, then I say go for it.

Witch should used like a trap not like weapon, just to incap survivor and spit at him^^.

I love playing spitters and smokers because that's how I play, I can lead a small them while still supporting but playing as them and following a good leader is where I shine the most playing as them.

You have the be the ultimate opportunist to take full advantage of the smoker.

I suck playing as boomers and chargers. I always spas out and miss a charge. Not sure if its lag =-=

I think that plugin who let bile infected is horrible in versus, because some new players (or good players by mistake) can broke ideal plan of killing survivors  . It has his own ability, when it die it push infected who near boomer by explosion, even if infected caught survivor.
